We were visiting Walter in Antwerp to working on the new leather bags for the upcoming Paris Fashion Week. It was a fun road trip, driving through Belgium we’ve spotted Brussels’ Christmas market, the Atomium and even a chocolate Manneken Pis. Very Christmassy indeed!
However, the highlight of the trip was definitely Walter Van Beirendonck’s retrospective exhibition at the MoMu Museum. It is a highly recommended and inspirational show to visit, the exhibition gives you a rare and deep insight into Walter’s world, his colourful career and inspirations. One of the room includes the exact reconstruction of his workspace. Do you need more reason to visit Antwerp? Start packing!!!

On January 22nd 2010, Walter Van Beirendonck + Chris&Tibor’s first collaboration hit the runway in Paris. A quirky explosion of shapes and colours, the show enticed an audience of Press and celebrities, including Kanye West and sweetheart of the time Amber Rose. The bags featured were a range of belt bags spelling out words from Walter’s ‘read my skin’ theme and striking rocket backpacks. Watch the video now!
Thursday June 25th at 2pm saw the Walter Van Bereindonckshow hit the Bataclan in Paris’ trendy 11th district for Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011. As our second season collaborating with Walter, this year’s collection is bigger, better and crazier… featuring the larger than life tiger and crocodile backpacks as big hits on the runway as well as the robot backpack. Further to these, the new Spring Summer 2011 collection includes the tiger and hope belt bags, the nylon W gym bag, the ‘Read my W skin’ side bag and leather belts, the W side bag and leather harnesses - available in a variety of checked fabrics too – the W laptop case, in a choice of leather, croc leather or nylon and a case for the ‘au courant’ Apple iPad in black leather or nylon. Lastly the not to be forgotten leather ‘W’ wash bag. The colour range this year is red, green, white and black with the additional checked range.
For you eager beavers we have decided to repeat last season’s successful 2 weeks pre-order option, available on our online shop from the next week and following this the collection will be stocked in the world’s most coveted couture boutiques and department stores from January 2011.
Chris&Tibor team just got back from Paris, where we were showing the Autumn Winter 2010-11 Collection to international buyers and press in the past few days. The presentation was really great, our showroom was located in the heart of Fashion Paris: The Marais. Literally next to the world famous Pompidou Center, Stravinsky Fountain and The Saint-Merri Church. We want to thank to everybody who have visited us…what a wonderful and successful week it was!
For the AW 2010-11 season, Walter Van Beirendonckhas designed a collection of bags together with Chris&Tibor. The Walter Van Beirendonck + Chris&Tibor collection includes a large size rocket shape backpack, and a medium size messenger bag with laptop compartment and the signature 3D shape W letter on the front. In addition, there is several smaller belt bags made out of 3D letters, reading: Fly, Fire and W. Material variations: Waterproof Tetron fabric and a rich and smooth Italian cow leather. Colours: Black, Navy Blue, Khaki and Red.
We have also included some of our personal favorite moments from the show. Fantastic season, it is energizing, make you stop and think. We bet you cannot wait to to buy these amazing clothes and accessories.

We spotted uber cool Kanye West in Paris at the Walter Van Beirendonckcatwalk show today. Kanye has arrived with girlfriend Amber Rose, American model, socialite and former exotic dancer. I have to say that Chris and Tibor loves the new Christian Louboutins studded Rollerball Loafers what Kanye West was wearing at the show. By the way, Christian Louboutins websiteis really really cool, so if you have not visited the site yet go and check it out, our favorite is this (turn on the speaker before you click): “Dont tell me the price, but how much is this?”
Last night we pop in to Walter Van Beirendonck’s Paris showroom for a meeting and to see the preparation for his catwalk show. The AW 2010-11 collection is really really good, we cannot wait to see it on the show. Spot some of the collaboration bags on the photos.
