Our friend and collaborator Juun.J designed a t-shirt for the Topman White T-Shirt Project (Juun.J design on the large photo above). Topman launches the fourth in a series of projects which invites a handful of designers to create their ideal version of a staple wardrobe piece. This season sees the humble t-shirt reworked by designers Richard Chai, Phillip Lim, Christopher Shannon, Juun J, JW Anderson and Henry Holland alongside Topman Design. The project will launch in the London and New York Flagship stores as well as on-line and across selected stores worldwide on May 28th 2009.

If you are visiting or living in Hong Kong check out The Louis Vuitton: A Passion for Creation Exhibition at the Hong Kong Museum of Art. The exhibition showcases Louis Vuitton’s long history and association with the world of art, as well as its passion in working with different artists in various ways. To celebrate the exhibition, the façade of the Hong Kong Museum of Art is wrapped up with the “After Dark” series of Richard Prince. Exhibiting artists include Jean-Michel Basquiat, Paul Chan, Cao-Fei, Yang Fudong, Gilbert & George, Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, Andreas Gursky, Pierre Huyghe, Jeff Koons, Bertrand Lavier, Christian Marclay and Richard Prince as well as other newly discovered international artists.


London, Westfield Shopping Centre

Louis Vuitton lands in Westfield London, the shop was originally due to open in October 2008, but plans were delayed. Westfield London is the largest shopping centre in London with 255 shops, cinemas and restaurants. Inside Westfield London, there is a new high-end retail area called The Village. The Village has been created by leading US architects Michael Gabellini and Kimberly Sheppard, known for their award-winning ‘Top of the Rock’ observation deck atop New York’s Rockefeller Centre.
